Multiple Students in a Family
If there is more than one student in your family, you will need to create a separate
account for each student. Using one email address for multiple student accounts
is not a problem but doing so will not result in all Free World U correspondence
being sent to the same address.
If you are using a home computer to view our site, you may want to have your internet
browser remember your passwords by clicking the "Remember Me" box on the
login page. If this doesn't work, you may have to change your browser settings.
In Internet Explorer, click Tools --> Internet Options --> Content -->
AutoComplete and verify that the Password box is checked. In Firefox, click
Tools --> Options --> Security and verify that "remember passwords for
sites" is checked.
Additionally, third party software such as
Roboform and KeePass
and can help automate password entering. We strongly recommend Roboform. Your information
can be kept secure, you won't have to remember usernames or passwords, and the information
will be entered accurately.
Login Issues
There have been occasional reports of difficulty logging in. If you registered
on the site but never received an activation email, go to the login page and request
another activation e-mail. If you activated your account and are having trouble
logging in, please take the following steps:
1. At the bottom of the login page, enter in your email address.
2. Click the "Send Password" button. The system will assign you
a new password and send it to you.
3. Wait 2 minutes and check your email account for your newly assigned password.
If the email is not there, please check your "spam" or "junk"
folder as sometimes the message gets incorrectly flagged by email programs as spam.
4. Try logging in using your user name and this new password. The password
you are sent will be a short word.
5. If you are able to login in with this new password, you should change your password
to something easier to remember by clicking the "Your Account" link on the
menu bar and entering your desired password in both password fields and clicking
save.
6. If you are still unable to log in, send an email to
support@freeworldu.org giving us your first name, last name, user name,
email address and the exact text of the error message you receive.
Click the right arrow in the lower right portion of this screen to go forward with
the tutorial or the left arrow to go back.
