Mozilla Firefox 2.0 now has an Internet forms spellchecker.  It is strongly recommended that you use this browser when you are writing or editing flashcards.  The word dictionary is stored in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Dictionaries.  You can also add words to the dictionary.  In the bulk editor, misspelled words will be underlined in red in the same fashion that they are in Microsoft Word. If a red underlined word is spelled correctly, place your cursor over it, right click it, and choose "add."  The word will be added to your dictionary.  In any event, place your cursor over the underlined word and right click for a context menu of options.

Several websites have generously taken time to provide free lists of medical and scientific words that you can download and add to your spellchecker. For Microsoft Word, follow these steps:

1. Download and extract the files, making sure to remember the location.
2. Open Word and go to the Tools menu.
3. Select Options.
4. Choose the Spelling and Grammar tab.
5. Click the Custom Dictionaries button.
6. Click the Add button and navigate to where you saved the files.
7. Choose the first file and click OK.
8. Click Add for each additional file.
9. Click OK when you are done.
10. Contact office-at-freeworldu-dot-org for help.
